Demi Heath - Consultant at Seismic

Why I work for Seismic:

To have the biggest positive impact as I can in the short time I have on this beautiful planet. I truly believe we can work together to face our biggest global challenges and not only overcome them, but create a better future for generations to come. I feel extremely lucky to be able to do this alongside a group of inspiring, empathetic and talented people.

My experience:

I was an in-house Sustainability Manager for 2 years at a B Corp before arriving at Seismic, taking them through B Corp re-accreditation, carbon neutrality certification, setting Science Based Targets (SBTs) and creating a long term sustainable business strategy. I have training from Harvard Business School in Sustainable Business, alongside interests in TCFD & sustainable finance.

 Some companies I’ve worked for:

JDE Coffee, WPI, Sharesies (A New Zealand Fintech B Corp), The National Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa

A seismic change I’d like to see in the future:

Comprehensive financial education, equity and transparency at all levels of global society. Truthful and clear understanding and engagement with the capitalist system is intrinsic to improving it.

Where I like to be:

I’m from and live in Brighton, but I also lived in Wellington, NZ for 7 years, so I am lucky enough to call both places home!
