Establishing sustainability leadership with Retail and Professional customers

JDE Peet’s is dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by coffee and tea farmers and enhancing climate change resilience within the industry. They needed an effective way to engage the UK & Ireland retail sector and inspire customers by showcasing their sustainability performance with concrete evidence and a memorable narrative.

JDE Peet’s UK&I needed a way to bring their Common Grounds sustainability strategy to life for their Retail and Professional customers, helping their sales team confidently communicate their efforts as the demand for transparency grows.

An interactive communications tool to bring Common Grounds to life

Seismic arrived at a unique solution: an innovative, dynamic sales deck, beginning with an interactive ‘wall’ of content – with animations that collectively showcase the scale of JDE’s impact, but can individually be used to support brand campaigns and digital media. This comprehensive tool has empowered JDE Peet’s to confidently present their sustainability leadership in meetings with major grocers and key accounts across hospitality and the public sector, highlighting success stories, measurable progress and revolutionary practices.

It builds on several years of collaborative work between Seismic and JDE Peet’s, which has included redesigning the sustainability section of their website, visually showcasing ambitions and evidencing their claims; an interactive world map, bringing their global farmer programme to life with full transparency; and a launch video for Common Grounds.

JDE’s communications tool and accompanying assets are helping to build the brand’s credibility, positively engaging key stakeholders and consumers. Crucially, it has enabled customer-facing teams to effectively engage audiences on the organisation’s sustainability journey and actively champion its positive sustainability impact, integrating this into their roles.

It’s also enhanced internal understanding of the Common Grounds sustainability programme, becoming a key resource for onboarding new starters and supporting ongoing employee education and engagement.
