Why I work for Seismic:

I believe that the environmental and economic challenges we face around the world today get solved by purpose driven people building great businesses. I joined Seismic because that’s the conviction at the heart of everything we do, whether it’s working with clients or attracting the best people in the industry to join us. That combination of mission and talent is why I’m here.

My experience:

I have spent the last fifteen years turning climate science into commercial action. Firstly as part of the executive team at Carbon Intelligence, which I helped grow from an early-stage start-up to a 200-person business before its acquisition by Accenture, and then leading a 250-strong sustainability consulting practice working with some of the world’s largest companies on sustainable business transformation and climate resilience.

Some companies I’ve worked with:

Aldi, Tesco, Pret, Aesop, Specsavers, DS Smith, BP, National Grid, Scottish Power, SSE, Clifford Chance, DLA Piper, BCG, EY, Vodafone, BBC, National Trust, Network Rail, EcoVadis, SAP.

A seismic change I’d like to see in the future:

The moment the sustainability strategy becomes inseparable from the commercial strategy. When carbon exposure sits alongside revenue risk in every analyst model, transition planning is as routine as budgeting, and the levers that drive enterprise value and decarbonisation turn out to be the same levers. When it becomes the norm rather than the exception, that’s what actually moves the transition.

Where I like to be:

I live in London with my wife and children, but we can often be found outside in the rain in the Yorkshire Dales or in the sunshine in Norfolk.

Where I like to be:

Being with my family in the outdoors. Nothing makes me happier than being in nature, be it hiking in the Lake District to pub walks in the Surrey Hills. I also wouldn’t say no to a relaxed day in and around home, and love rating the coffee from all my local coffee spots!
