Why I work for Seismic:
Because I share the belief that business can be a force for good and has the ability to drive change. I want to support a range of businesses on their impact journeys looking at a comprehensive range of factors, such as community, workers and customers.
My experience:
I’ve most recently worked in sustainability consulting, supporting companies with ESG, net zero and navigating the voluntary carbon market. My broader experience also includes 2 years at a green-tech start-up, a grassroots environmental pressure group and I currently volunteer for the environmental non-profit Football for Future. I hold an MSc in Climate Change, Policy and Development and am an IEMA Associate Member.
Some companies I’ve worked with:
Asahi, NatureScot, Venator, GKN
A seismic change I’d like to see in the future:
Clear definitions, transparency and guidance on ESG as these challenges are impacting its broader credibility and vulnerability to greenwashing. Similarly, the voluntary carbon market has (rightly) come under intense scrutiny so clear guidelines and a watertight, verifiable methodology would be a seismic change that could have a massive impact.
Where I like to be:
Having lived in Brighton for 6 years, being on the beach with friends is always a memorable and happy place. However there is nothing I love more than watching a test match on a sunny day, followed by a fantastic meal at one of London’s many amazing restaurants.
