Tamlyn Duncan

Why I work for Seismic:

Advocating as an individual for a better future is my priority, but the scale and speed at which we need to collectively change makes buy-in and action from businesses absolutely crucial. Working for Seismic enables alignment between my personal goals and aspirations of a societal shift led by businesses with a goal of making a positive difference towards a better future.

My experience:

My career has been dedicated to working within various sectors in the environmental field; ranging from local government, legal counsel, and climate tech. My academic background is in environmental science and environmental law, and I have a keen interest in impact communications grounded in authenticity and integrity.

Some companies I’ve worked with:

SMEs across the U.K. as well as organisations across different sectors including FMCG, media, software, and subnational government constituency representation at the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 15)

A seismic change I’d like to see in the future:

An ethos of progress over perfection along the route to Net Zero. Businesses and their employees are more inclined to step up to the plate and take action when positively reinforced and celebrated for making genuine strides.

Where I like to be:

As a South African, I’ll always choose a game drive in the bush, but I’m happy to settle for a walk in the British countryside and something home-baked.
